I've always been a fan of Nine Below Zero but this time they delivered a very good bluesalbum. With Hats off they honoured some finest bluessongs in history of music.

Especially the bluesharp(thanx to Mark Feltham) spiced up the songs. This album is a "must have" for in your car when you drive home and got stuck in another traffic jam.

Nine Below Zero are an English blues band, who have a cult following throughout Europe, and were most popular during the period 1980–1982. The band was originally formed in South London in 1977, by guitarist and lead vocalist Dennis Greaves. Taking bassist Peter Clark with him, they recruited Kenny Bradley on drums, and vocalist and harmonica player Mark Feltham. They originally called themselves 'Stan's Blues Band', and for two years built up a local following in London clubs.

Still one of the UK's hardest working bands, Nine Below Zero return with an album of cover versions. Trawling back through their personal record collections the guys decided it was hightime they paid tribute to the people who paved the way, the artists that brought the blues to the UK in the first place. Cuts from Junior Wells, Willie Dixon, Memphis Slim, Jimmie Rodgers, Eddie Boyd and Muddy Waters feature, powered along by former Rory Gallagher powerhouse rhythm team Brendan O'Neill and Gerry McAvoy alongside stawarts Dennis Greaves on guitar and virtuoso blues-harp player Mark Feltham.
